Argo Help
I just bought a 97 Argo Response. I am having a problem with it. I was taking a friend for a ride through a creek that had a small hill on the other side. When I tried to climb the hill the first time it stopped before it got to the top and was making a grinding or screeching sound. I backed down the hill and got a little more speed and made it to the top but it still made the noise. When I went back across the creek I got hung up in a rut and had to back up. So I tried backing up the same hill and it powered right up to the top without making any noise. So what is the problem I think maybe the forward gears. Also I can’t do much in high gear other than go straight I have to drive in low most of the time, if that helps any. I like my machine and if it needs a little TLC then no problem just need somewhere to start. Since I live in Texas there are not many of these around so I really don’t have anyone to take it to.
