Question Outboard Motor Bracket

Iam looking for some pics.of Argo's mount. I think I can make my own, all I need is some pics. and measurements. I heared they are about a 100.00. Thanks for any info. Cougar

Cougar, I cut a wedge on a table saw to fill the void in the upper body.. a four sided wedge.

These may give you some idea of the mount, as you can see it is off center, this is a factory issue. If you want i can take more detailed pictures tomorrow with some measurements.

I think the reasoning is it frees up the hitch for towing.

So the side mount don't have a brace on the bottom of the motor? The one rear mount I saw had a brace that ran from the hitch to the bottom of the motor. It was a V shape. I was going to try and run the motor without the bottom brace first. Cougar

You could still have any local metal fab shop make you a foot brace with a backing plate inside, and a mounting plate out!
