Having a blast!

I am having a absolute blast with my superchief! The wife loves it, the kids love it, everyone that sees it is amused. I had it in the water over the wkend and I was impressed with how it handled....I have a leak somewhere, but I'll deal with that down the road sometime. I go for a short ride in the lake....maybe 5 min....and I have a gallon or so come out when I pull the plugs (ductape).

So, Ive been mixing in a little tinkering with my stick time......cause like my wife says, I just cant leave anything alone....the latest thing is the belt deflection. I know this is important from messing with my sleds, so I check this one and it had well over 2". I put a new dayco on it, still 2"+, so I moved the motor back as far as it would go. Now it has about 1.5" and I have yet to try it out. I took a quick look at the driven clutch.....do these have shims to set the distance between the sheaves? On my sleds I can add or remove shims to get the belt as high as possible (slightly outside) on the sheaves. It looked like there was a small gap between them, but I didnt take it apart (yet) to see. Is there any trick to take it apart?
