Either a c-clip holds it down, or there is a hold down bracket over the diamond shifter. Then just wiggle it and pull up while doing so. If you have neither, it's most likely just moved up and needs...

The pug is a 4x4 articulated ATV manufactured by Bruce Manufacturing Corporation our of Minneapolis Minnesota. This model came with a 12 hp motor and a dump bed was standard.
