Video fo Heaths Argo Frontier and Dans MaxIV in the Richmond Hill Swamps
Alright everyone this is Heaths new Argo Frontier and Dans MaxIV in the Richmond Hill Swamp area, and what a day it was. To use Heaths words it was brutal!!! The video you see here are some of the milder areas we were in where we could stop and take video with out getting stuck. I had my Max in mud up to the roll bar with out water 3 times, and I mean mud that you could not walk in. Several times we came close to having both machines stuck in soft mud at the same time with nothing around to winch us out!! We were always able to kept at least one machine from being stuck! Every swamp creek was full of logs and fallen trees. There were cypress knees everywhere that kept us from going into other areas. The mud in the bottom of the swamp creeks was so soft that we were always in danger of getting stuck even with over a foot of water under us! I was brutal! On a scale of one to ten many of the areas we were in were and 8 or 9!!!!!
For any one who has doubts about the Frontiers tires put those issues to rest!!! We ran over logs, cypress knees, roots, branches, stumps and every other awful thing you can think of. What ever you see in this video multiply x3 and you will have an idea how rough it was in some of the areas we were in!! ENJOY!! Dan ,
Once again , I commend you for another GREAT video . That was some EXELLENT video footage of Heath driving his new Argo Frontier through the swamp . ![]() I,m sure you feel a lot safer driving into those kind of swamp conditions , with another amphib with you . I know I would . But then again Dan,,,I would not have the nerve to take my Max IV into the places you take your Max IV by myself,,for fear of getting stuck all by myself . But , with another amphib with you , its twice the fun right ? I could tell from the swamp conditions you were driving in , that in terrain like that ,, the large , self cleaning lugs, on the Vampire tires , really excell . When we go to the Marengo swamp run this year,, my Max IV will have 26 inch Vampires on it too , now that I,ve seen just how well they work in the conditions you take your Max IV into . I hope you can talk Heath into going with us too .Last edited by mudbug3 : 03-11-2008 at 02:32 PM. |

Tommy , I feel the same way you do , each and every time that I watch one of Dan,s swamp video,s . Man , I love this kind of stuff ! You,re right about being additive,, because it sure is , once you get to test these things in some REALLY nasty terrain . In this stuff,, nobody can touch us ! ![]() |
