    Lightbulb Hand Throttles and brakes

I've been giving some thought to making my control levers not just two vertical sticks but also having them like Inverted L so they have horizontal handles. I'm considering this for brake levers and throttle controls to add on to my sticks.

Currently I've a foot throttle and honestly it sucks. Though I'm sure it could be reworked it's a long steel shaft and multiple linkages a PITA for sure. I'm thinking cable is the way to go.

What are these heated throttle cables I read about?

I'd like to know what yer takes are on things like THUMB throttle like a snowmobile vs like a quad....anyone?

What do you use, what have you used and if you changed why?

I'm considering adding on two independent disk brakes for the driven jack shafts from the transmission as well. two 6" disk's and calipers with independent controls for LEFT and RIGHT brakes respectively as well as a single park brake lever actuating on both disks as my machine does not have any PARK mode once stopped you can push pull it with little resistance, which is not a good situation to winch out a quad etc.

Thanks for any input and if you have pics of what you use great!

JerseyBigfoot modified a Max IV in the same manner. There are some posts about his mods.

Here is JerseyBigfoot's Max IV that liflod mentioned: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/max-a...v-project.html He has several photos in that thread.

I did something similar on my Argo Avenger. I have several photos and descriptions of what I did in this thread: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/argo-...enger-t20.html More specifically, starting here: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/argo-...tml#post138623 including what throttle setup I went with.
