Hustler Wheel Bearings

I got new inner bearings for my Hustler today at Buffalo Bearing in Buffalo, NY. Hustler axles are 1 3/16" with the very end of them machined down to 1". I got new inner bearings for under $10 each. The part number on them is HC205-16. They are still trying to locate outter wheel bearings that are double or tripple sealed that fit the 1 3/16" end of the axles. If anyone knows who makes this size for the Hustler or has a part number I would appreciate it if you could post it up. Thanks.

jpswft1: richard at route 6x6 has them I payed $23 each last year for inners and outers, but you should call first because you said you have 1 3/16" and I think whipper said he thought my hustler was 1" but I'm not sure I'll check mine again and let you know... but if you find outers like you did inners let me know that's a great price thanks...

The inner part of the Hustler axle on mine is turned down to 1" while most of it is 1 3/16". I ended up getting a call back from Buffalo Bearing and they found me some tripple sealed 1 3/16" bearings for about $16. REB181, If your machine has different axles it might be because it is an older model, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I know Attex has 1" axles all the way through. Im still learning as I go about the Hustlers. I do know that when I saw a 1980 Hustler sales brochure they advertised that they had 1 3/16" solid axles.

The outter bearings were just under $17 for ones that were tripple sealed, and very tough. They are made by TR Bearing and the part number for 1 3/16" outter bearings for the Hustler is UC206-19R3. I got this price through Buffalo Bearing in Buffalo, NY. Their phone number is 716-874-1721 just in case you ever need bearings for your Hustler.

Hey Klog,

Good luck with your build! I have the bearings that JP recommended on my Hustler, and so far so good.
