body work

i got about a 6in crack in my body about 4 inches above the left front wheel, i read in the how to section about using two irons to fix it but is there any other ways, its not a big split but it does leak and i dont want it to spread, i just dont think i trust myself using two irons like it says in the how to section. any other ideas?
