I looks like the Hustlers frames were well made and robust . I like the sleek lines of the Hustler 980

    Hey Tailwind,
I actually grew up in Jackson, and used to ride a lot of trails back on the Pearl River. Not sure how many of them are still there, but I come home several times per year, and next time I'll haul the Hustler down if you want to ride.

    Mr. Meinfeld

Thanks for the reply ! Sounds like a plan here, shoot me an email when able. There are alot of trails along the Pearl. Google earth around the areas, for which you remember, and let me know.

Ready to go anytime, and look foward to seeing your Hustler "Big Boy".

Google earth in to between Lakeland and the Res spillway, and it will allow you areas, perhaps that we have both forgottten.

Hopefully, I will have the K440 going shortly - several months, and you won't have to bother pulling yours down!

    Hey Meinfield,

Sorry to have been a stanger to the board lately, but work had kept me busy, and I had to put the project aside for a short time.

Also, we have been tearing up the speckled trout and redfish down at our MS gulf coast, fishing the LA marsh and inside our barrier islands. Spring and fall are my favorite times, because of the brutal summer heat!

My K341 Hustler is ready to bolt the lid on, and mount the wheels / tires, and go, along with some minor chain idler roller adjustments. From all the tire posts, I may have made a mistake in not getting the rawhides. Instead, I have Carlisle powertracs. They look similar though.

Additionally, I bought the Hustler from W Virginia, previously listed on the board. Don posted some photos:

    http://www.6x6world.com/forums/aatvs...ood-price.html

It has a recent K341 rebuild and is in all original condition. Chains have been replaced, runs and shifts good. Needs tires, few minor adjustments, otherwise it looks almost like it's been stored all of it's life!

When things lighten up, will get more photos posted, hopefully "In Action".

It's a good time to fish the coast. I heard that things really picked up after Katrina?
I looked at that Hustler too; it looked like a really nice machine. Glad some one on the board got it.
I keep tearing up drive line parts on the 980, but whipper is cutting some new axles and I should have the machine together in the next couple of weeks. Scott from Texas is thinking about heading East in August and we talked about getting together somewhere for a ride, hopefully we can get some other folks together for a little mud slinging!
Just curious, where did you go to high school?
