Hey guys, I'm new! Now that we've got that out of the way, on to the fun stuff. So I'm at some property of my inlays yesterday throwing some boxes in a dumpster and I spot some kind of AATV. I threw the boxes away and drove back around to what I saw. It was a Max IV. I didn't know specifically what model it was until I got home and researched it. I did however find out while I was there that it runs, just doesn't drive. It doesn't drive apparently because of a broken sprocket. I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what specific sprocket it is so I can order a new one. Any way..... I ask my father in law if his son and I can work on it. Today I get a text asking when I'm coming to pick it up, IT'S MINE! So now I REALLY want to get this thing running.
The sprocket LOOKS to be from - If you're behind the Max, to the right of the motor, between the outer sprockets (to the right) and the motor, the sprocket should go there (at the bottom). It's a 15 tooth sprocket.
I also know nothing else about these things besides riding in one with a friend like 15 years ago (long time when you're only 26). So any other general ideas of what to check would be great. I was told it would drive until the sprocket broke (you can tell it's been welded on before).
On to the only pictures I have of it until I go look at it again Thursday after work. I'm supposed to pick it up by the end of the weekend.
And the problematic sprocket:
I'm in Kentucky if anybody wants to ride once it's back together! I've got 540 acres available to ride on with a few ponds and stuff!
Thanks ahead of time,
