I have fixed my max 4 bearings that were leaking water. I had the type bearings that had a collar on the outside to hold the axle. I cleaned the mud off the bearings and then I installed ORING between the lock collar and the bearing. I had to cut the oring and glue it back together around the axle. After the glue set up I stretched the oring over the set collar. Be sure to pack the void between the bearing and the set collar with water proof grease. I have went from a max that had to have the bulge pump all the time to NO leaks at all. I was in the water for 2 hours today and had NO water get in. Try this it works.
