I've installed a lot of these on bent frames. Align the side plates with the top edge of the frame. I clamp a piece of angle iron up front and work off that. This gets the transmission to correct height in the frame. If you are down 1/8 inch you loose most of the rear chain adjustment. Good luck this is a very good up grade.

Thanks for the info. I am new to the AATV world. I have caught the bug!! just about finished with my complete ATTEX rebuild. and had to have another project.
I picked up a Max IV. The T-20 looks new, and the 20hp Vanguard runs very good. it has a left rear sprocket tube that needs to be repaired. All chains need to be replaced.
I drove it when I first picked it up. and I was amazed with how much flex I was feeling. The frame is not bent so I am trying to reduce flex. additionally the trans was loose and jumping around in the cradle. Other than that I am hoping to get this going soon. Thanks for all of the info.
    Jim.

I plan on doing this soon. I can't make heads or tails out of the diagram. Does anybody have any pics of how this looks when complete?
