I was planning on upgrading my 2006 avenger to the HDI bearings but I need to know how to prevent water from getting in through the axles and onto the bearing because there isn't any seals. One grease nipple for the bearing and that's it. Great form, great place for information. thanks

I have seen some of your videos and see you realyl know what you are doing. Need some help thought i'd ask as the search function isn't bringins up what I'm looking for.

I need to remove a right front axle from an earlier Response, however the axle is probably seized on the inner bearing or possibly outer. The sprocket is free and can move and i've got all the bolts off the bearing extension and set screws etc.
I'm just finding that pounding on the axle is not enough as teh power pack is right there and you can only swing 3 " max. Any suggestions? Is the best bet to just remove the complete power pack?

If so looking for a sequence on that as the manual doesn't say much.

    thanks!

Rock Doc, sorry for the late response I have been out of town. Go to ebay and type " HID offroad lights " this will give you a good idea of what you are looking at. You can also buy some cheap standard KC style offroad lights and convert them to HID with an HID balast kit from ebay. HID light are not as cheap as standard lights but the diffrence is like a flash light compaired to a 12V spotlight. The amp draw for HID lights are a 1/8th of a standard light and they put out 10 times the lumes.

Sounds like most of the winches and parts are pretty much the same, or made at the same place? Anyway, he puts his own together. Acording to tim, the tunners aren't needed on the adair tracks as much as the rubber, lots more chain windup there. Also, I didn't know there could be 2,3, as much as 6 inches difference in the circumfrence from tire to tire. This could be huge in how the machine handles.
