I got a idea for one bad tiger

i got the idea to put 4 stroke briggs in their now

First of all, more power is always "cooler"... even if it is used inefficiently.

Unsure what you mean by jack shaft... but it sounds do able. Post a couple pics of your idea and I'm sure most of us will get the just of it.

i am refering to the shaft that has all the clutchs and brakes on it i will take some pics of the idea later

Well I have not been here very long though I will tell you that is simething I am currently thinking of doing I just am not sure how or where to get a transmission, to make that adapter.

You will be putting a lot of torque to the cone clutches as the polaris trans has a built in gear reduction. The TT trans works because of the minimal amount o torque from the 2 stroke motor. Any 4 stroke conversion will requiring beefing up the clutches and changing the jackshaft ratio.

wonder if

I found a 12 horse briggs in the back of the shop today think it would have enough power to move one of the terra tigers pretty good i dont need i lot of speed and will the clutch off the 252 fit this and where can i buy springs for this clutch to lower the engagment rpm need something to play with till i get the other one done and when i get it done something for my buddys wife and mine to ride together just need more power (torgue) than the 252

ok I turned the 12 horse crank to fit the 2 stroke clutch but nobody has said anything about if i can buy a spring for the clutch to make it engage at a lower rpm i was playing with the lathe and a got a few extra cranks if a cant find spring/s for the clutch i took the clutch off the engine but have not took it apart to see the spring set up was waiting to see if anybody knew of the springs i need got the engine mount built i will try to post some pics if i get time got a little more work on the crank to make it perfect(got a 1969 craftsman bench lathe and i killed the belt making some bolts for a friend before i finished my crank)but if anybody can help with the springs it would be a great help thanks i will try and keep u all updated thanks
