They offer up to an 80 hp Deutz BF4 Turbo Diesel Engine with hydrostatic drive and speeds up to 45mph on land and 10mph in water with their water prop! Of course I'm sure that has a lot to do with the 33" tall tires but still, that's some impressive speeds.
They also have aluminum frames and seating for 5-10 people.
The land tamers are made here in montana. I have spoken with the guy who makes them and watched his demo videos at some of the local outdoor tradeshows. These things are pretty cool. They are VERY large. They are also very fast and very powerful. They are a pretty neat machine. His first one that he built used a suburu engine and transaxle (I think I am remembering this right).
Man, you're right. I hadn't noticed at first but it looks like they can seat three people across each row! And I have trouble getting the Max down some trails
I bought a used 05 model in November. It has the D turbo and is a machine!!! I grew up with hustlers, my father was a dealer, and Coots, but this thing is truely a work horse. We have used it for hunting ducks and deer this year and it has saved going from boat to 4wheeler to boat numerous times. If it means anything my dad keeps saying, "I wish I would have had this when ya'll were growing up"! the most people I had in it was 10 plus me. There is some work I will do this off season, mainly to get it exactly like I need it for hauling people next year but truelly a machine like no other!!! Any questions anyone has on these machines I would be happy to answer.
Awesome! Welcome to the site and it's good to hear from someone that owns one. Is yours the 6 or 8 wheeled model? If you have any pictures of it feel free to post them in the gallery.
Landtamer is makeing a smaller version. It has a 40 hp kohler motor in it. It looks like it would be hard pressed to float a 1000 pounds in the water by the pictures.
