Hey Mad Max, Great Pic! 10.00!! It was a bit rough, Mike, espcially the landing. Believe it or not, 5 out of 6 hollow axles survived that day.... The right rear was bent a bit but still served faithfully up untill 2 years ago. Humphrey always had the timed events on the last day so you could thrash your machine and not have to worry about missing the dice run.
These old pics bring back some great memories. Jay, the President of RI, actually won this event the year before, and forfeited his trophy to the runner up. I guess he thought it wasn't fair for a factory guy to take the win.
