      I took this picture to show how the drive works on a scrambler. The outer disk with the sprocket on it is normally pushed up tight to the other disk. With that spring rod where a hydraulic cylinder would be. See my other pictures for what that looks like. The brake cylinder moves the outer plate which pushes the sprocket disk away from the drive clutch plate. Then at further travel outwards, the sprocket disk will hit the brake pads on the outer plate. In picture the upper brake cylinder is for the brake pedal. Thats how the drive, neutral and brake works.

      OH, boy is that confusing. Check out the video walk around of crazy colts scrambler. It sorta shows for a quick second the drive disengaging.
