hours of grinding to remove the sheetmetal, bondo, fiberglass.... it now has 2 coats of the fiberglass cloth/ ABS goo treatment. once dry, I will paint it and sew up a cover

I spent a couple hours shipping off about 4 pounds (I weighed it... don't doubt me. ) of fiberglass, too. That seat was seriously band-aided. I'll bet your fix lasts a bit longer. Looks great....
