  • Finally Got It Home!

1996 ARGO Conquest with a touch less than 105 hours. Seems to be in very good condition except for tires. All 8 were dry rotted from long term storage and the previous owner tubed 6 of them and placed two mismatches on the front. I'll replace all 8 tires (figuring out what I need to replace them with) and service the entire machine. I want to camowrap the top cabin (you can see how it goes from fully enclosed to open by removing the side doors, hatchback, and lowering the windshield) and recover the seats to match. I've got plans drawn up for a top cargo rack, a rear cargo rack with integrated trolling motor mount, flood lights for the top rack, and a host of other personalized touches I want to add.

Sort of glad I waited to pick up a good used machine. It's taken about a year and half to find one in good shape that hasn't been mud-bogged to death. I'm really surprised how excited I am about this. Hope to have it ready within the month. With the work schedule, we'll see. BBJ

I can't seem to post pics. I'll try it again later.

Not sure about the weight of the top, but guessing from the doors and hatchback when removed, somewhere around 100 lbs. with the interior framework and gun racks. With the windshield folded down, side doors and entire hatchback section removed, it's essentially an open cab with a sort of fiberglass bimini top to keep the sun off. The hatchback also has a rear access door (large window) that swings out for loading the back without having to raise the hatchback. Fibro Concepts doesn't make the tops anymore but I saw some here:Argo Accessories. Not the exact same thing, but some of the pics show a full hardtop that is pretty similar. I wasn't too keen about the top at first, but after getting the machine home and really looking at it, I'm going to keep it. It'll be great in cold weather with the heater kit. I'll get some better pics up when I can. BBJ
