  • bleeding brake on avenger

Hi, I changed the brake pad and the oil. The steering doesn't react as before. If I want to make a turn ( mostly to the left) I need to pull the bar all the way. Is it because they are not "bleeding" well or is it a brake ajustement? How do I "bleed" them. I think that bleeding brakes it's taking the air out of the hose.
    Thank you

The way I do it is as follows.Attach apiece of clear tubing onto the bleed nipple at the brake cylinder put the other end into a container to catch the drained fluid.Apply the brake and while engaged loosen the bleedscrew and watch for air bubbles. Before releasing the brake close the bleed nipple again.Continue this procedure until no air is seen in the tube.IT will be necessary to replenish fluid lost in the resevoir during bleeding.
    Good luck

Thank you wern. I'm going bow hunting for moose Friday for 1 week. I will try to bleed the brake at the camp. I just bought the HD belt and will put it on at the camp also. I hope that my old belt will hold up to the camp. Once I'm at the camp I have plenty of time to work on the machine
