loose tranny?

I was thinking about hooking up a brake to make shifting easy when I noticed the trans. had a little play. It moves just slightly sideways but not back and forth. Is it normal to have a tinny bit of play? I am pretty new to this.

If your idler chains are properly adjusted, and the bolts on the mounting plate are tight, you should not be able to move your trans at all
