  • idler chain question's and other ??????'s

ok i went riding to night for the first time on my argo. when i was turning sometimes i was hearing some weird noises like the brake's where slipping or something it didnt do it everytime just sometimes. it made the noise turning it both ways. what could it be? here are some video's of my idler chains sorry there not real good i had to use a flashlight for light. is this too loose

    driver side

    left side

    left side was tighter.
also is it normal to have muddy water in the bottom. i didnt see any water come over the side.
and when i am swimming even by myself and i am sitting in the middle it keeps steering to the left

oh yea i have 3 hours on the machine

The chains are too loose. I run them as snug as I can without putting constant tension on the link pins. Because the top sprockets are so small. You can take the floor pans out and drive into water and look for leaks.

The steering to one side in the water issue is probably just due to unbalanced weight. Not you but the engine, trans, etc most likely aren't centered. I know it's a different machine but in the Max II's the motor sits off to the left side of the 6x6. If you are by yourself in the water, you have to slide to the right to keep it balanced and going straight.
