  • Painting a camo Argo?

Hello. The wife and I are looking to purchase a used camo Argo. If I paint the Argo with rattle can paint, will it stick? I heard paint usually don't stick well to HDPE. Is this the case? What sort of paint is best suited? Thank you.

Paint won't stick to HDPE. If you get it to stick for a little while it'll chip right off once you take the machine on the trails. The best thing to do is to try to pressure wash the camo spray bomb paint off so the original color shines through. Use some stuff called "Graffiti Remover" or something along those lines and you'll have it looking good.....better than any spray paint would look. Good luck with it.

Thank you for the response. I was hoping someone had a voodoo recipe that would help.

I wiped my max down with brake fluid and let it sit over night then pressure washed it. You may have to do it several times and scrubbed it with an SOS pad. After I got the paint off I wiped it down with wd40 to help bring the shine back. Good luck it takes a lot of scrubbing.
