  • New Argo owner 08 750EFI. Lots of pics...

Bought my first Argo last month and thought I would share some pics of the past three weekends. Glacial silt had me stuck 3 times the first hour I took it out. I was kinda bummed at that point but after I put the tracks on it went right through it. I bought this to get back to my gold mining claims that are super hard to get to here in Alaska. I dont know how well this will do the job overall but time will tell. I installed the last two upgraded axles and bearings, 4 new rear chains, full service, fiberglass reinforcement on the half hard top, and welded up the floor pan and seat post in a few spots since I got it. I knew these were high maintenance but damn. Hope to do more running and less working on it soon.

Nice machine you have there....And some nice country to ride in....I am sure that you will end up doing more riding and some "preventive" maintenence will go a long in ensuring that you will have a lot of fun and many hours enjoying your machine.....

With time and more experience driving you will find that you may not get stuck as much....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

hi DeVo, That top is fabulous. Half hard ,half soft, soft rear part looks like vinyl? By the way ,in the pic tied down on the trailer, I notice that you have plow attachment plates. It is much better to tie the cargo straps to them than up at the winch area. The newer Avengers come with steel tie down loops fastened at the axle extensions for just that purpose. I wish you well with your new machine and hope that you can get the maximum load of 1800 pounds of gold in it often .ha ha

To try and save on maitnece cost, you should look into adair track tuners if your going to run the rubber tracks all the time, it allows the middle four tires to spin freely, and the front and rear to turn the track. It will depend on how many hours of use you get before you need new chains, ect.

What is the make of that hard top? I've seen them before but never heard who makes them or where to get them? Any info would be appreciated.
