  • winch circuit breaker

    does anyone have a part number for this, it mounts tothe battery and the wires from winch attach to it. instead of argo brand is there an after market, available??
    thanx for any replies

    You can buy circuit breakers at most parts stores and wire it in yourself. I know Advance and NAPA both stock several amp ratings.
    Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

      The winch that I have did not come with a circuit breaker. Are they absolutely necessary? The only thing I can think of is that it would be for motor protection.
      Borrowing tools is for the weak.

        thank you don, they say its to prevent motor and circuits from overheating if you use the winch alot.

          They are not required, but they are a good idea. As mentioned, they are available at most Auto Parts Stores.
