Snow plow lift alternatives

Im currently fabricating a snow plow to my Bigfoot, but I do not have a winch.
Anyone came across a different way of lifting it?
Contemplating trying my rope and pulley deer hanging hoist.

Just get a harbor freight winch using a supercoupon. You may need it when you get stuck anyway. It probably won't cost any more than anything else that could do the job and serves a higher purpose.

I don't have a winch mount to even mount the cheapest of winches.

One option might be to use a linear actuator to raise and lower the plow. You'd have to work out the connection points for the actuator and use a 500lb unit. See this thread for ideas (link)

Probably be cheaper in the end to just get a winch unless you can source a cheap actuator.
