Hi, I have a 1986 Argo Magnum (8X8) with a 2 inch hitch that has two bolts mounted vertically to the frame. Any thoughts on its towing capacity. Thanx mm

This is a tough question. the proper answer is at least 500 lbs.. probably 900 lbs. If your machine is in GREAT SHAPE new/good axels bearings and breaks and if you have a tandem axel walking beam ATV trailer with little or no toung weight you can easily pull 1200 to 1500 pounds across flat, hard ground with few turns. What are your trying to pull? I see videos of that vintage argo pulling moose through a swamp.... that is 1000 lbs easy! Also your drive skill (which is really experience) has a lot to do with it too.Alaska floating atvs group on face book. Fixing help and trail rides!!!!!

i use my 1999 conquest like a skidder. last week i twitched 14 dia logs, 8 feet long, chained side by side, for about a quarter mile, easilly.Comment

I too use my Argo to skid logs. In fact,that was one of it's finer points until I got mixed up with these 6x6 world members and began learning how to really enjoy these machines and this hobby. The white card tucked in the backrest has some "guidelines" for skidding on it. 10" dia x 50',etc. If I stayed within these sizes,I had no problems moving and/or damaging anything.
