What improvements Would like to see in the Argo. I know we all would like power steering power brakes and suspension. But then we would be looking at a $75,000. argo.
I am looking for some simple things That could really improve the performance of it.
I myself would like to see them do away with the heavy chain drive to the axles, And go to a lighter inclosed belt drive set up. Would be a lot quieter more forgiving. And still be just as strong. Improve the clearance between the tires and tub.
I have a 02 conquest. And I cannot compare It to the new ones. But I think It sure will beat the new ones for tufness. They are sure one strong workhorse.
What would you like to see in a argo ??????

Belt drive to all 4 axles?? What if you get water in the tub? Then you are done.. Enclosing it the length of the machine will not gain any weight savings and make belt checking a mere day to take all the covers off, then hopefully get them resealed...

Toothed belt drives will not hold up to shock loads, such as skidding .If you could get it tight enough to not skip teeth,it would kill bearings. Also at higher tensions the belts will break fairly easily,I see it all the time with some equipment we have at work.Sounds like a good idea, but it wont hold up.

Well without even trying the concept out. I have two NOs I do believe I saw a model with an oil bath chain drive. But I cannot remember just what it was. It may not of even of been a argo. Now if you can have an oil bath why not a dry belt enclosure. Your mid belts can be a wide belt and your ends can be smaller. JUST A THOUGHT.
The purpose of this thread is to maybe come up with some ideas that that the costumer would like that will will improve the argo. And hopefully the engineers will work on them.
I like the argo because it,s made in Canada. And it,s not some Chinese junk. I myself would pay a little more for a rig that is made in north America. .
So lets see some ideas and maybe we will see them in the units we love to drive.
Thats if argo will listen to what the costumer would like. Lets hope. JUST A THOUGHT

Hydraulic drive, liquid cooling, synthetic bearings, frameless construction, fuel injection, Adair tracks, gel seat or air seat, rear engine, build it simple with access to everything.

NOW YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK, That would be one nice argo.
I like the rear engine, takes the load off the front end. The way the argo is now it is very front end heavy

How about a molded boat bow that will bolt to the front of Argo to give a bit of flotation and better water performance... it would solve the noise heavy water issue use the same bolt up as the plow units do ...

They've got the Fuel Injection and liquid cooling already.. Where would the passengers ride with a rear engine? Strickly cargo then up front?

Liquid cooling and F.I. isn't available all across the model line. With good engine placement and frameless construction there would be room for a 2nd row like a Max4 has. But better yet a single wide seat like the 580/650 Frontier has, with storage up front, engine in the rear would be ideal. That could also lighten the machine by over a 100 pounds.

How about built in GPS and trancievers so you can get help in an emergency.

True enough.. But leather seats aren't standard in every truck either.. The options available need to be chosen by the user for their specific needs.. Would I buy a 6 wheel one without fuel injection? Nope.. My needs for hunting and adventuring need more... Each owner can pick and choose the options.. Would EFI and liquid cooling be nice to have across the board.. You bet.. Would they start out pricing themselves from some users. Perhaps...
