  • Storage/tool box on conquest

Hi, i was looking at the space in the cab of a Argo to put some stuff. There is not a lot of room to store thing except under the bench.

I was wondering if i could buld a little metal box on the left front corner of the conquest 2001. There seems to have a little unused place there.

Do you think this is a good idea? I will have to make the box removable for sure, but s it to hot in there to store stuff? Since i am pretty new to this thing, i think i am better to ask first your opinions.

    Thanks.

I noticed a previous post by RD that said he uses a 18v drill case that fits right under his feet in the argo. This is where he keeps a lot of his things. And if you seen his list of things he carries then you should have no problem carring what you need.....

If you were carefull about it, I think you could mount a storage box in the Front Left, behind the muffler. I've seen Batteries mounted there. You're right though, it's hot in there.
As mentioned, I use a box that a Dewalt Electric Drill came in, it fits nicely into the front floor pan well. It makes the floor even, but it can get water in it if you're not paying attention, sometimes.
A rear Rack that sticks out beyond the back of the machine is also a great storage place for stuff like Gas Cans, Chainsaw, Generator, Cooler, Tool Box, ect.

I made this storage box for a 2003 Conquest. You can still lift out the floor pans and you can still get 4 people in the back

It fits between the seats and is screwed to the bottom lip of the body

        It comes in very handy

          Wow! Nice!!! I like it...

Did you start frm scratch or you took already made material?

What is the thickness of the metal you work with?
You had to use a industrial break (don't know exactly the name in english) to ply it....I think i could have access to one too...could be a good idea...What type of hinges (again i am not sure of the word) did you use?

          Thanks again...

Humm...I just watch the picture again could be made of wood also...

I just can't beleive how the people of this forum works wonders!!!
