  • Argo 8x8 Question

Hi- I have a 08 avenger that I have been working on this winter doing some annual maintenance. Right now, I have all the tires off and its up on blocks. When I start it up and put it into gear one side starts to move (Slowly) and the other side doesn’t. It’s only until I give it gas that the other side starts to turn. It does this in low, high & reverse. Does any know if this is normal or do I have a problem?

    Thanks for any info!!

      Normal
It's pretty hard to have the rolling resistance on both sides exactly the same, so with the differential style Trans, the side with the least resistance will turn. If you apply brake to the side thats turning, then the other side will turn. The difference in resistance between each side can be a result of many things, Bearing condition, amount of grease in bearings, chain tension, ect.
