  • argo avenger skid plate

Do any of you have a skid plate to protect the front of the argo where the ribs are in front. Worried about sticks going through the hall.

The ribs I'm talking about are between the skid plate and the bumper on a 09 avenger I have heard of beaver sticks getting jammed in there and going though the hall. I was just going to put a plate from the bumper down to the skid plate.

Mine is just a piece of aluminum checker plate. I had a hole punched in the front from exactly what you are worrying about. I filled the front ribs with silicone and bolted this plate on. I used 1 bolt right through the center of the ribs and used a large washer on the inside to squish the silcone in good. I made 2 small cuts at the bottom and just used a deadblow hammer to bend it to the body contour before I installed it. It works mighty nice and only took an hour or so to do.

Hi master mudder tell me the story of how it happened and what you would recommend for me. I have the same argo as you and it will be used for hard core moose hunting. Please get back to me I would like to talk to you some more. Your neighbour from sask.
