I just spent an hour looking thru pics & threads trying to find info & ideas on fabbing a rear rack & a push bar or grill guard for my conquest. All that searching turned up nothing. Does anyone have clear pics of how a rear rack would mount? And also a fabbed push bar or grill guard for the front? If you have pics or drawings or anything that would help I would be much obliged. Grateful even.

Did you try looking at what RD has on site. He has a nice rack on the back for storage and a guard on the front on one of his machines.Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Thank you both for those. Mr.Doctor, on your front guard you just used stress cuts to bend the angle around the front? Is there anything you would do different with that if you did another? Also, you attached both thru the tub seal area. Any ill affects from that? Any thing to becarful of when drilling thru that?
On the rear rack, is it still possible to use a top with that?

Sorry, I missed your questions earlier.
Stress cuts? Yes
Do different? Yes, the 1.5" Angle for the Front Bumper could have been 1.5"x1". Sometimes when I push quads or other Argos, I can get hung up on them. See this for a good example:
Yes, bolted through the Tub Seal. Seems fine, I use the front and rear racks as part of my tie down points on the trailer, I've never had an issue with the way they are mounted. It's very strong.
The top fits, but just barely. Defiantly something to keep in mind while you build.
I did not measure the cuts on the front bumper. I started with the length I wanted, marked the Center, then marked the Center of each half, then marked the Center of each quarter, ect, ect.

Thank you for all your help Doc. I have hatched a plan out in my head for the brush guard. Now just need to get in the shop and build it. After taking mine for her first swim yesterday i need to make it light. Felt like the nose was going under the hole time. Although she wont be in the water alot, she will need to swim every now & then. As fas as the rear rack I'm still undecided. I would love one for the saw, fuel and othe needs I will need to stew on that one. Thanks again for all your help.Comment

The nose on my argo feels the same way. Whenever i take it swimming the seam between the upper and lower tub is almost to close to the water for comfort. I have to sit on the side opposite of the sticks to keep it balanced. I am hoping its just the tires are overinflated or underinflated on a side.Comment

Depending on what machine you have, they are heavy on the right side (Battery and Rad on the right side). That's why you have to scoot over to the left to balance the machine.Originally posted by Cruiser812 View Post
If your tires were improperly inflated, you would be continually correcting your heading to keep the machine from driving in a big circle.

Mine don't have that problem, steering corrections. It was my father-in-law & myself. We were both in the front seat. He is a pretty big guy and it just seemed like the nose was just going to sink. He is pushing 300 & I'm 250. I will need to take it for a swim by myself and with more weight in the back & see how she does.Comment

Most of the videos I see of Argos swimming look front heavy.
Try adding weight to the back and it should level out.Comment
