Extension of inner frame rail 1970 argo

Hello, I have been reading quite a few posts about upgrading to splined axles. On my 1970's argo I have the pin/shear style. My question is....can I replace my back six axles with the splined axles part # 810-113? I don't plan on doing this right now, but just want to make sure I can do this.

I plan on doing some mods to the frame and wanted to extend the inner frame rail to support these axles as well. This will work right?

Yes sir, it can be done and has been done. Are your axles 1 inch, and do you have a 4 bolt bearing flange?

Thanks will do. I will check the size of the axles and flanges this weekend. I have see your posts they have been very helpful. Plan on doing the same thing this spring. I will post any questions on your thread. I am sure we will have a lot of them.
