  • Drive belt replacement

I need to replace the Drive belt on a 1979 Argo.
I see in the Service manual says the belt is either 51 1/4 or 47 3/4 outer circumference.
The old belt is not marked with any indication or brand.
Any help woulr be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Run a string around the old belt while it's still on the machine and measure the string to see how long it is. Then you can source one locally or call someone like Roy at Quality Drive Quality Drive Systems and get one shipped to you.

        hi
Ring argo customer service with model serial of your machine .Or ring a good dealer who is experienced .
Remember there maybe a slim chance that an incorrect belt has been fitted previously .

I asked about Gates, and was told that they are fine belts, so I,ll be ordering a few. NAPA carries Gate belts. Found on Amazon as well.
