8x8 all the way, I have a 6x6 to play with but if there is serious work to get done the 8x8 with tracks is the way to go. I teach our Firefighters to run the Avenger through everything we have around here, ice, snow, sand, mud, gravel, muskeg and water, just ran a course last weekend and I hope to post some pictures soon. We are running the Argo rubber tracks over Rawhide III's and they work on everything....except water, they don't swim at all. We have installed the Argo accessory stretcher carrier and have hauled people out of the bush in some very extreme terrain (quad trails) fully loaded (6 people) pulling a trailer full of gear and the only issue we have had is a broken drive belt. Even the local snowmobile trails are wide enough and the tracks run really well on hardpack, powder is a little more challenging but the surface area is there. If anyone rolls through Whitecourt on a workday, feel free to stop by the Firehall ask for Troy, I'll give you a tour of the Avenger and the trailer
