  • Argo I.D.

Hi new to the forum and to Argos. I'm trying to figure out what model and year my Argo is? Is there a site to run the vin#? Its a 6x6,it's green has argo cut into the front of the hood and is powered by a 16 Tecumseh. I need to order axle seals and bearings for it and don't know what to order.Where's the best place for bearing prices in Canada or should I order from someone in the US. Thanks for your help

Do you have any manuals for the argo. If you have your serial number then you can get the manual and it will tell you what parts you will need. The parts are pretty common for various models. The manual will list the serial numbers on the front for the machines. Bearing can prob be bought local from a bearing supplier cheaper then from an argo dealer. I find the guys at Argo sales and service in Mount Pearl pretty good. Dealt with them for a few things.

I usually search the part on the following site for a general price before I go buy anything

    Argo Parts Manual Library

You can download argo manuals for free from the following

    beaverdamargoatv

    or from the home page

Argo parts and service manuals for 6x6 and 8x8 amphibious UTVs

You may be able to find bearings and chains at mount pearl

PBA Industrial Supplies - Plastic Modular Conveyor Belt, Hydraulic & Industrial Hose & Fittings

    Hope this helps...

With the manuals guyfox posted I think its pre 80's like 77-79 but not 100% sure. serial # T4189.according to the parts manual was built in that era sometime. I guess last resort I can measure the bearings. Trying to get the parts before I rip it apart. Thanks for your help guys

Call the nearest dealer... Or Adair Argo or the one in Colorado. They should be able to find which year it is.... Good luck and have fun!
