  • Ideas on ever to put Hull ID #

Finally got around to getting my conquest state water legal. Was pretty easy. But now I have to put an atv plate on it & I have to put the hin on. Ohio law states it has to be on the right side no less than a foot from the front. I looked thru the gallery and I couldn't find 1 machine that has a hin or an atv plate. If anyone has either where did you put them?

Here is a pic of my 02 conquest with an atv plate attached. Just to the right (from driver seat, Left of winch from front).

Hope this gives you some ideal.

Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Thank you for the pic, it does help. I only got one plate & just assumed it would go on back. Guess I should check the laws. The front would be a lot easier to do. For now I just pulled a screw from the seat back & put it there for now. It won't see very much road action anyway. Lol.

This is the only plate on my Conquest. My 89 6x6 has a plate mounted just to the right of the engine cover. You have to be standing right by the machine to even see it....But it is still there in case anyone is looking....lol

Here in NJ they want them on the back for ATV reg. though they issue no plate and want 3 inch sizing, PA. and N.Y. issue plates also on rear ( though stated in Pa. as left rear fender) here is mine.

They want the hull id number to be 3" also. I think I'll just leave the plate where it is. But still unsure about the hin. Thanks for the ideas.

I have been calling it a hull id number. It is a watercraft id. I think I am just going to put them in front of the name plate. If they don't like it I'm sure they will let me know. Still can't believe I can't find a single pic on the net of a 6x6 or 8x8 with a water craft id? Crazy.

There are a good number of photos here in our gallery that show what you are looking for. Here are the first handful of them that come to mind:

Your state typically specifies the height of the letters and where they have to be placed.
