It's pretty noisy with my aluminum top (canvas sides)... really hard to hear without yelling. It's quiet outside so I'm wondering if anyone has tried reducing the engine/chain noise. Wondering if sound absorbing material inside the top or sound blocking material on the firewall or floor would be best? Thanks!

I have seen one thread regarding an effort to reduce the noise by insulating the firewall. Unfortunately I don't recall the tiyle of this thread.

I covered the firewall with Dynamat and it produced a big reduction in engine and chain noise.

I insulated the fire wall with Dynamat and carpeted the ceiling of the metal top... seems like it is quieter now. I think the biggest benefit was from the firewall. I just used very thin indoor/outdoor carpet on the ceiling... but it looks really nice even if it didn't absorb much sound and stop the echo effect. I'll try to attach some photos if anyone is interested and I can figure out how.
