Well I am more then half way done tearing my conquest apart it's been a four day process because of all the rusted on bolts and inner bearing that do not wanna slide off the axle I've been through 2 bottles butane gas heating up the bearings and ruined many bolts because if beating on the to get the axle shafts out but the good news is I haven't ruined any axle shafts yet. My question is on the website chain for less they got the inner bearing for like 6 bucks and chain for like 35 bucks for 10 feet, I know that it's cheap chain but I really wanna get this thing going before winter and my funds are tight will the cheap bearings and chain at least give me 100 hrs of use if I keep up on the lubing and cleaning of them

All I can say is you get what you pay for in parts.
If you plan on treating it with a lot of care and not working it hard and playing in the back yard. you may get 100 hours with 6 buck bearings and cheep chain. Now I said (MAY).
I myself like to go fifty miles back in the mountains. In the middle of winter, And we do not want any breakdowns. Thats why I have a conquest. They are a good workhorse. When rebuilt right They will last a long time. And give you many hours of fun. Just take your time and do it right the first time. Ask your self this. Would you rather be fixing you argo or playing with it.
Yes anything can brake. And if Murphy has a say it will.

I'm with Old Tucker! he is right on !! Cheap chain is a no no on any atv to me! I've used both and cheap stuff isn't worth all the the extra time you'll spend to adjusting tighten chains all the time. And you'll have to replace them a few times compared to good chain! And same for brgs. But I would take a low priced bearing over chain! What you save today will cost you more down the road. So it's up to you and how you plan on using it.

It is not where the chain is made that matters. Chinese made chain typically is sold for it's price, so cheaper made and weaker. American made chain is often sold because people want better and don't mind paying extra to get it. Stick with a name brand that publishes its strength 50-2 Tsubaki lists 14,100# Here is some on Ebay Tsubaki 50 2RIV Chain Roller | eBay
NoName brands may lie about their strength or use non standard test methods to record it (deceptive) so you are taking your chances.
Diamond lists theirs at 13,200# and their china made (saphire) at 9760#
Here is some morse on ebay New Morse 127721 50 2R Steel Double Strands 5 8 in 10ft Roller Chain D218758 | eBay

China also doesn't have the kinds of systems in place to track quality and for some reason, maybe because their companies are new and everyone is focused on growth, a lot of unscrupulous people can get counterfit or mismarked stuff into the supply chain. Think back to the poisoned baby food or other similar things. One industrial thing I read about recently was some high strength steel parts where a free machining version of the alloy was used instead of the specified one. This allowed the machines to run faster and the company to make more profit. A stress crack was able to propagate because of that and some workers outside of a building fell to their deaths.
At the start of building their industry Japan was known for making crap and I'm sure the US had a reputation for bad products with the English back when we were starting out too. Until their industry matures, I think China will be there too.
I've also seen reputable companies take advantage of the low Chinese costs while keeping strict control of quality and get good product. I'd put more faith in the reputation of the company selling the product than the country of origin.

I think you'll find there is some decent Chinese stuff about now, there's also some rubbish still about. Buy from a reputable dealer who knows what he's importing.
At one time I was involved in importing Chinese lifting / lashing equipment into the UK, for every three tested two failed !!! Now it's one in dozens that fails, and usually through a machining fault now and not structural.
I would happily buy Chinese chain so long as I knew it was from one of the reputable Chinese manufacturers (who probably make it for the European / American companies).

Well got the cracks welded and braced the frame sand blasted and powder coated I went with a lighter color so I could see if there any leaks or find dropped tools easier, got the frame installed and all the bearings changed on all four corners. Now gotta wait for more money to order some more parts. I really want to make a Alternator bracket trying to find pics of one so I can go off of that
