LarryW, the code does start 2010 with the ABC's so A does = 2010. From 2001 to 2009, it is the number that goes with the year, 9 = 2009. Before 2001 it is back to the ABC's again but some letters are not used because they look like a number, such as Z looks like a 2. Y = 2000 model. I'm sure google will provide a full list you could copy to the ID thread list.

Tenth digit of the VIN is the year, so B = 2011.
