  • First time on my argo. Learned a lot

I finally got my frontier out today. It was about 20 degrees, so the flooded area of the little pit I went to had 1-2" of ice. I learned that with adair tracks, that pathetic ice doesn't stop you from swimming or mudding. I also learned that with tracks and the right speed, you can drive across that ice.

I learned what tools to take with me. I think I'm going to start stocking stuff in the back. My tire popped off the rim (didn't throw my track though). I could have put it back on and kept riding today, but I didn't bring the right tools to do it.

I also learned just how easy and maneuverable these things can be. A 6x6 can go nearly anywhere that a 4x4 can go as far as tight squeezes, but yet can do amazing things. I used to want to get a 4x4 some day in the future. I don't want to anymore.

I'm glad I found this forum and I'm glad reading about all of you guys and your machines got me so excited. I think I may like my argo more than my motorcycle (R.I.P.).

Yes argos can be a lot of fun all right. They are not as fast as a bike. but not much will stop them. As you learn more and find out just what they can do you will be hooked like the rest of us

I have a couple videos of it pushing around some ice. Looks pretty cool because. We don't have any snow up here yet. It's just cold. I could attempt to upload a couple once I get a few hours free.

          Hi Andyman,

I'm still working on getting my Max running, but the dunes at Pismo are at the top of my list. A co-worker has quad and he goes often. We've got a trip planned as soon as my machine is working reliably. We should set up a west coast ride and not let the east coasters have all the fun.
