  • Bring on the snow!!! and Conquest hood scoop mod.

I got my Conquest all squared away for the winter and added a few things to it. I put a rechargeable flashlight mounted on the front of the hardtop, put in a dome light, and made a hood scoop of sorts to let a little more air flow into the engine compartment.

I used a hole saw to make the five holes and then for the "grill" I had a piece of plastic grill off my Polaris Ranger I had to remove to install the winch.

I have an organizer on the back of the front seat that has a gun case built into it. I carry a 12 gauge survival shotgun I put together with Choate survivor stocks. Notice the flare in the butt cuff (and yes I have tested it). It really shoots the flares high due tot he longer barrel compared to a real flare gun. The stocks on the gun have compartments in them to store survival gear.100_1945.jpg100_1947.jpg100_1949.jpg100_1953.jpg

I'm an Eskimo. Normally that would be enough info regarding snow. But since
getting into aatv's I can't wait til summer. Mud, swamps, tundra, marshes etc all frozen.
Wheres the fun in that? Bring on the summer already.

That is deeep!, but I bet that was at elevation (high). I have seen that picture of you Conquest many times and I think Argo should put it in their catalogue/calendar.
                Awesome pic!!!

I bought the machine in Colorado and the dealer there installed it. I really like the hardtop too.

Didn't you just buy new channel tracks? If so I am dyeing to see how those tracks do in snow like is in your pic.

survival gear down here is a 12 pack and a loaf of bread and some lunchmeat! I do have an AR7 .22 survival rifle that I have carried. Don't know what I'd use it for, I guess I'd need it if the lunchmeat runs out!

semi-solid water, as near as I can tell anyway.

all jokes aside, that is a serious good looking getting down to business machine.

Yes I did just get some new channel tracks. And I am dyeing to find out myself. I put the supper track over some rough trails with heavy loads. Now lets see what the channel track can do. Today we had a good storm, Lots of new snow at the cabin. And monday they say we are to get another storm. with more snow the temt. dropping . I will not get a chance to go out tomorrow. Maybe sunday or monday I will hit the hills. I would like to say monday because I love been out in a good storm.
By the way, that cabin is at only 3800 feet in elevation.

I see you are in B.C., that explains the lack of elevation, but big snow. I have to go to 9,000-10,000+ feet to see snow like that. My house is at 5300. I love driving around in a crazy storm too and doing it at night makes it evening more interesting.

There is something about a good storm that I like.
Here is another one of the cabins in the area that is open to the public to use. Its at 4100 feet. You can not get even a snowmobile to it. Its just too steep and rough. I would love to be able to get the argo up to it. Maybe this winter I will try to find a way up.
The weekend we stayed there a storm rolled in and three feet of snow fell on us. What a lot of fun it was [IMG][/IMG]

Beautiful!!! We have yurts in the area you can rent, but they have become so popular it is almost impossible to get them on holidays and weekends.
