  • Red diagnostic light

Hi I have a 2008 argo avenger with 150 hours. Every time, I take it out the red diagnostic light comes on for a few seconds. I am pretty sure it's been doing it since I got it. It use to only come on when it was idling but now comes on when I'm driving it also. Anyone have any idea if this is something serious or nothing to worry about. Thanks for any info.

The red light next middle to the engine light is the parking brake light. If it goes on when parking brake is engaged. If your serial number is 27866 or greater.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Thanks for the info but I don’t think that’s it.

I made a mistake with the date is a 2007 avenger EFI not 2008. (Can’t believe it’s that old already) The owner’s manual says it’s a “Choke Diagnostic Light – EFI”.

The manual doesn't say anything much more about it. I cant find any info about it on the internet also.

        red diagnostic display.

You can find diagnostic display codes on:PDF TP-2527-A AEGIS LH630-775 Service Manual. Section 5B page 27 under EFI Fuel System.
        Hope that helps.

What kind of engine is in your machine? Mine has the Kohler and has about a dozen or so fault codes associated with the light, if I'm reading it correctly..

            It's a kohler LH 775.

I have two fault codes. 34&31. The machine runs great, I think it's a bad sensor.

From what I saw it looks like a bad O2 sensor..

Just had the same issue, reset parameters and engine runs fine. Don't remember full test without finding the manual again.
Basically turn key on/off 3-4 times quickly and light flashes quickly, start engine run at 1500-2000 rpm till light blinks slowly (5-10 min), idle down (til light goes out?)
shut off restart should be fine, unless there is an issue.

These are 2 week old recollections and may differ some.
