  • Argo Rubber Track Tire Pressure

Just wondering what you guys who run rubber tracks and track tuners are running for tire pressures. I have an '07 Avenger with tuners on the mid two axles and find that the tires are slipping inside the tracks sometimes especially while climbing a hill and turning. I set the pressures according to the install manual noted pressures and adjust evenly across the board until the tracks quit slipping. Anyone else running this setup - just wondering what you have found works best. As a side note I have followed the track install recommendations to a "T" and have the wheels in the proper locations according to diameter and the middle two tires reversed in direction. I ran these tracks all winter last year and when removed I did not have any bearing wear which tells me they are not too tight. Any Advice - Thanks.

I am experiencing the same issue. My problem free 2007 Avenger has had the Argo Rubber tracks and OEM tires since 2008 (about 300 hours). I have always checked thet tire pressure and track tension to insure it was per Argo specs and have not had a problem until the end of this winter.
Now my tires are slipping inside the tracks to the point that I cannot climb out of a mud hole or make turns or even climb the ramps to put it on a trailer. My tires appear to have lots of tread but I am wondering if the area where they grab the track guides may be worn just enough to cause this problem. That is the only thing that I think could of changed.
    Anyone have ideas???
