OK, I’m officially impressed. We’ve had very little snowfall here for December (not nearly enough snow for snowmachines, which is keeping hunter numbers down) so I’ve been using the Argo to get out during winter moose season. Last week my buddy and I each shot small bulls just minutes apart. His was a standing shot at 181 yards with a .358 Norma mag and mine was a galloping away shot at 90 yards with my .338 Marlin Express. It was a clear, beautiful day, if a bit chilly (below zero). We shot them kind of late in the day so it was getting dark and we were hoping to only make one trip out. We almost got both moose fully loaded on one load (plus our hunting gear). Anticipating it was a bit much my buddy called a friend who came out with a 4 wheeler and he picked up what little was left. My buddy is 6’4” and 270; I’m 5’9”, 235 and it hauled us and darned near both moose out. Again, I’m very impressed… what a terrific machine!!

I had a 1997 Vanguard II that I used several seasons for elk/deer/duck hunting and it was overloaded with game and gear several times and it never complained or left me stranded. Argos are the workhorse of the aatvs. I am on my 5th Argo and they have all been great machines.

Congrats on the successful hunt. The argo is a great machine. All the different AATVs have their purpose. A 8x8 would have taken both moose, both people and all your gear and still have room to take more.
Great pics.Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
