  • Conquest quesrtion: How much chain?

Do any of you know how much #50 roller (looks like about 40Ft) chain is required to completely replace all the chain on my Conquest. I have double chain on everything, no single chain at all. Do I buy #50 double roller chain or single chain and double it up? I would just like to buy a bulk shipment. Any suggested sources? Do I really need the best chain, I probably won't put more than 30 hrs on a year? What is a good chain for the buck? Thanks

Your close it's just over 40 I think I bought 5 boxes and had some left over when finished, that low of hours a year I wouldn't worry about the best chain

You will buy the double chain. Even with low hours, I would say get the best chain you can afford. There are great deals on EBAY and Amazon for Diamond brand, Tsubaki, and other high strength chains. The Chinese made chain is usually the lowest grade/Tractor supply type.

I think only driving that many hours a year, you expect to have no failures, so go with the best you can afford.
