    Tire Pressure?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

      Nick,

Welcome to the site! As lewis asked, what tire pressure are you running? If you haven't already you should invest in a low pressure tire gauge that will read from 0-5psi. That way you can accurately adjust each tire. Since the tires are the only form of suspension that we have on a stock 6x6, it is crucial that you run a low pressure.

Most of the tires that we run have a max recommended operating PSI of 5 lbs. Typical operating pressure for a lot of people on here is 3 psi.

The only thing that you have to worry about when running a lower pressure is losing a bead out on the trail but if you have beadlocks you can drop it down to 1psi and not have to worry. I try to run 1-2psi and it really improves grip and ride quality.

Are you talking about the tire pressure or the steering making it jumpy and bouncy like the brakes are going...grab, slip, grab, slip?

What your first post sounds to me like the brakes may be jumping from the input control levers being pulled back the let off then pulled back. What Argo model do you have and how long have you been driving it? It may just be an experience and learning curve situation.

thanks for the hospitality and i kind of figured it was the tire pressure but i figured i would just ask and see if anyone else had the same problem, i dont have a low pressure guage at the moment but i will go out and get one in the next couple of days
              thanks,

to answer jerrys question it is an argo bigfoot and thats kind of what it feels like when im driving it but ive been driving this thing for about 4 years and it wasnt doing it when i first drove it
its also not mine its my real good friends that i live with and he had one of his other friends work on it while i was gone for about a year and i think it is most likely the tire pressure
ill let you guys know when i get a pressure guage
                thanks,
                nick

OK, I've seen new people do it but since you have been driving it and are experienced with Argo then I bet you are on the right track with too much tire pressure. Some people will go by the sidewall and not think about how low they need to be.

im pretty sure that was the problem they filled the tires up by eye until they looked full,
but also there were a pair of tracks on it so they may have filled them up some to help with the tracks

                    thanks for all your input
