  • Need help taking extended studs out

Need to take the extention & studs off the broken axle - never done it before and I don't want to brake anything else - HELP PLEASE

put the axle in a vise and then go around the cast spacer with a hammer, tapping outward until it comes loose. Remove and then take off the extended lugs.

      Removing studs

I get the tapping to loosen spacer but how do I remove studs? Do I just tap them back out with hammer? Will that not bend the long stud?

Put a lug nut on the end of the stud to give you a bigger target and so you don't mess up the threads, and just smack it straight on with a hammer. They should come right out...

The extensions are threaded onto the regular studs. You have to take the spacer off because it traps the extensions so that they cannot come off while in use.

Go to argoadventure.com's accessory manual page and get "825-42K SUPERTRACK 18" 8X8.pdf". There's a good picture of this on page 3.

Follow JohnF's instructions, stud extensions are threaded on to existing studs. When replacing tighten and then further tighten until spacer slips nearly all the way on by hand once they are aligned with spacer openings.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
              Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
