Hi there all, just bought and argo and this is my first post to this forum. It is a 6x6 IC 1986 with a 17 hp Kohler engine. I keep seeing models like conquest, bigfoot and vanguard. How do I know which model is mine for ordering parts. I plan on trying to make a snow plow for it as my argo dealer rep here told me I cant get parts like windshields, canopies and plows for it anymore. Thanks for the help in advance. Plan on picking your brains more over the coming months. Demo

Demo, 6 I/C is the model name for parts look under the K models but order off serial number range.
Top is available special order in black only and non returnable, windshield would have to be checked on.
You could order the factory snowplow but would need to make mounting brackets as you should not have the bearing extensions and frame was probably not made for them, the plow mount brackets mount to the extension housings.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Where can I order these accessories from? As my argo dealer is of no help to me. Also if I'm trying to order aftermarket parts and they don't say anything about IC models, is there another model that is close? Seems all the parts are for those models previously mentioned but never seen any that states their for an IC model.I demolish my bridges behind me, that way there's no choice but to move forward...

Hi demo, welcome. I think your argo might be a Magnum. If you contact ODG/Argo with your serial number they will tell you what you want to know. I need to mention that tying your machine down by the winch is not really recommended. There are many stories about hitting potholes and soft shoulders and ditches where the winch let go. Tying to the axles on each end could save problems. Also tying over the machine with cargo straps is going to make a guy unhappy when the body sags and the tracks or tires rub. good luck with your new toy.

I am not sure if it is a good idea to tie your Argo down by the axels. This can damage the axels if it is a bumpy ride.
I found it best to secure some large square deck posts on the trailer. One in front of each front tire and one in back of each back tire, then run a strap across the top to keep it from bouncing up. Works well, Argo never moves an inch. Just don't torque the strap down super tight or you will get the droop like everyone is talking about.
