Or even from a dealer!! I seen a few WELL ENJOYED machines and he said "as is" and not at any kinda bargain price..... He said he'd take it anywhere and it's in such good shape he'd not worry about it letting him down. I don't know what he was on but he wasn't sharing!! I then let him know the line of work I'm in and pointed out the sprockets and chains are beyond shot, tranny and engine had leaky seals, over all a mechanical disaster But!! "It looks good and the seats aren't ripped up!! They parked it in a garage and kept it clean" he was right about that part. Look at the working parts and be weary.

The one I looked at was up north west of Grande Prairie, it was early spring in 2010. I was on my way home from the kiwigana gas plant (a Encana gas plant north up Laird hwy, 77) north of Fort Nelson. I don't remember the name of the dealer or even if it was in B.C. or Alberta. It was tundra green 8X8 avenger, winch, rear hand rails. They sold Polaris, it was traded in on a Polaris 6X6 UTV with a cab. I saw it sitting out front and It was a place to stop and get out of the truck for a few minutes, 15 hour truck ride from there to home.

Not a authorized Argo dealer, But what a deal we was willing to make!!!

Well, let me see: So far 8 new Chevron 101 tires, 8 new rims (Recstuff) 5 new chain adjusters, 1 front and 1 middle bearing set, throttle & cable set, new winch, all new Diamond chains (ebay), Two new transmission adjusting bolts, tune up kit, engine oil & filters, transmission gear lube, 3 new wheel nuts, 2 water drain plugs. Still needs a bilge pump, some plastic welding, new body bumper. Then I think Ill put a 5HP 4 stroke outboard on it. About $1400 so far. It's a project. Oh well!

I am going to play with mine through spring since everything seems to be in fairly good shape. Will do a complete restoration on it over the summer and have it ready for duck season in the fall. Looks like it is going to be a fun project. I budgeted $2000 to complete the repairs so I think that I will have a top notch machine when I get done. Still trying to decide between New tires or tracks.

OH MY LORD new tracks or tires. Let me break it down. With tracks you run 5+ psi so you can tube them if their nasty. Go tracks brother!!!! Watch videos of adair tracks, then Watch videos of no tracks..... For some reason people with tires get stuck where tracks easily drive through.... I'm way into hunting up her in alaska and it is all swamp. Nothing ruins a good day of hunting like spending it getting unstuck! Deffanitly go with the tacks man! That and a small outboard... Even an electic unit would be super sneaky for duck hunting!!!

Tracks it is, I am now on the look out for a set of trackers to fit a 1999 Argo Response.
